Sachin Tendulkar Biography in English
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the Best Batsmen in the History of Cricket. He is the First Player to be Awarded India's Highest Civilian Honor, the Bharat Ratna, and the youngest person to do so. Rajiv Gandhi is the only cricketer to receive the Khel Ratna award.
He has also been awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. Since starting his international career in 1989, he has set a number of batting records.
Sachin Tendulkar has scored the most hundreds in both Test and ODI cricket. He is the leading run-scorer in Test cricket. Sachin Tendulkar is the only player in the world to score more than 14,000 runs in Test cricket. Sachin Tendulkar also holds the world record for most runs scored in an ODI.
As well as being a great player, Tendulkar is also a good man. Known as the God of Cricket, Tendulkar has made a name for himself at home and abroad with his hard work and dedication.
Sachin Tendulkar Early life
Born on April 24, 1973, to a Marathi Brahmin family in Rajapur, Sachin was named after his father Ramesh Tendulkar and his favorite musician Sachin Dev Burman. It was his elder brother Ajit Tendulkar who encouraged Sachin Tendulkar to play cricket.
Sachin also has a brother Nitin Tendulkar and a sister Savitai Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar was married to Anjali Tendulkar in 1995. Sachin has two children - one Sara and the other Arjun.
Sachin received his education from Shardashram Vidyamandar. It was here that he started his cricketing career under the guidance of coach Ramakant Achrekar. To become a fast bowler, he used MRF. The Pace Foundation's training program, however, saw fast bowling coach Dennis Lilly ask him to focus on his batting. Growing up in a simple family, Sachin was educated at Shardashram University in Mumbai.
Tendulkar's coach Ramesh Achrekar's way of practicing Tendulkar was completely unique. He kept a Rs 1 coin under the wicket at the crease. If a bowler had bowled out Sachin then this coin would have belonged to that bowler and if Sachin had not out then this coin would have belonged to Sachin. Tendulkar won 13 such coins from his guru, which he still has today.
In this way, Sachin's guru made him good at batting. Tendulkar scored his maiden Test century on the tour of England in 1990, in which he scored 119, followed by Tests in Australia and South Africa, where he scored several Test hundreds.
Tendulkar played his first home Test match against England in India in 1992-93, the 22nd Test match of his Test career. Due to Sachin's talent and cricketing technique, everyone gave him the title of Don Bradman, which was later accepted by Don Bradman himself.
Sachin's coach Achrekar used to teach him cricket before going to school in the morning and after returning from school in the evening. Sachin was very hardworking, he practiced constantly, when he got tired the coaches would put a Rs 1 coin in the stump, with which Sachin kept playing. Sachin used to play and add money.
In 1988, Sachin scored the first century of his career by playing for Mumbai in a state level match. Tendulkar played his first ODI in the series. In 1990, Tendulkar played his first Test series against England, in which he scored 119 runs and became the second youngest player to score a century. Tendulkar was named captain of the team during the 1996 World Cup. Tendulkar resigned as captain in 1998 and was reinstated in 1999.
During his tenure as captain, Tendulkar won only four out of 25 Tests, after which he decided never to captain again. Sachin is a normal looking person. Although he is very famous, he is humble. Sachin gives full credit for his good behavior to his father. He says, “I am whatever I am because of my father. He has instilled in me the qualities of simplicity and honesty.
He was a master of Marathi literature and always explained that life should be taken very seriously. When he found out that cricket was going to be a part of my life, not education, he had no objection. He told me to play honestly and keep my standards as high as possible.
Never be afraid of hard work. " Apart from cricket, Tendulkar loves to listen to music and watch movies. Tendulkar considers cricket as his life and his blood. What he couldn't enjoy when he became famous for cricket - he says he remembers playing cricket with a tennis ball with friends.
At 29 years and 134 days old, Tendulkar played his 100th Test against England. The match, played at the Oval on September 5, 2002, made Tendulkar the youngest player to play in the 100th Test.
Tendulkar's cricketing career officially began when he started playing club cricket (Kanga League) at the age of 12. On 23 December 2012, Tendulkar retired from ODI cricket and in his last Test match in Mumbai on 16 November 2013, he scored 74 runs and retired from Test cricket.
In his career, Tendulkar has scored 15921 runs in 200 Tests at an average of 53.79, with his highest score being 246 * and his names are 51 hundreds and 68 fifties. He took 46 wickets in bowling.
In the same ODIs, Tendulkar has scored 18426 runs at an average of 44.83 in 463 matches, in which his best score was 200 *. He has 49 hundreds and 96 fifties. He has taken 154 wickets for the team. With his bowling in ODIs.
